Auction Oracle

Economic intelligence for World of Warcraft: Forever. Auction Oracle is a local application that collects prices, history and recipes from several sources and turns them into decisions:

Each figure is labelled OBSERVED, ESTIMATED, PREDICTED or UNKNOWN, with its source and an explanation. When data is missing, the app says so instead of inventing a price.

Auction Oracle never acts in the game for you: no bot, no automatic buying, no injection. It is an analysis tool.

Quick start (Windows)

  1. Install: double-click install.bat.
  2. Python 3.11+ is required. If it is missing: winget install --id Python.Python.3.12 --scope user.
  3. The script creates an isolated environment in %USERPROFILE%\.auction-oracle\venv, installs the dependencies and runs a diagnostic.
  4. Start: double-click start.bat. The app opens at http://127.0.0.1:8765.
  5. It collects automatically every 60 minutes while the window stays open.
  6. Check: diagnose.bat shows the live state of every source (API) and every engine.
  7. Back up: backup.bat takes a consistent copy in data\backups (the 14 most recent are kept).
  8. Restore: scripts\restore.bat <file>.
  9. Update: scripts\update.bat.

The first collection runs about 10 seconds after start-up. You can also click Collect now in the top bar.
